We've been getting cakes at this place for around 4-6 years!! We occasionally come to get cake slices since it's close by home. The cakes have always been moist, soft, and extremely delicious/flavorful. A birthday cake we got of chocolate w/strawberry filling tasted amazing but a bit dry (that was the only time that happened). We love that the frostings aren't so sugary to the point that it's obnoxious. It's just perfectly balanced!! My favs are the fruit tarts & vanilla cake w/mixed fruit filling. We have tasted the vanilla w/mango cake and it's phenomenal! We recently tried the cream & custard puffs and they were light + creamy, 10/10 recommend!! We have bought cakes here for dinner gatherings with friends and they've enjoyed the cakes too, always asking where we buy them. It's true that the bakery "appearance wise" could appreciate a nice upkeep since it looks a bit old fashioned/worn out but it's always clean and organized so it doesn't bother us. Also, free parking is at the back of the store! It's honestly a hidden gem in Montebello :)

Mango cake is the best! The cake was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture was just right. Every bite was a delightful experience, and it's clear that a lot of care and skill went into making this cake. However, I do have to mention that the service left much to be desired. The person who attended to me, who I assume might be the owner, did not have a very welcoming demeanor. The interaction felt a bit cold and uninviting, which is a shame because it does take away from the overall experience. Despite the lackluster service, the quality of the cakes is enough to bring me back. The mango cake alone is worth the visit, but I do hope the service improves in the future. With better service, this place could truly be exceptional.

Venecia Bakery has been another go to for many years. This is a small business in Montebello. The family that owes the bakery is always so helpful and friendly. Their cakes especially the mango cake are so delicious. Another favorite especially for events are their mini tarts. They are bite size and prefect for events. Their eclairs are also one of my favorites. The chocolate is tempered just right so it stays on when you're eating but it's still solid enough to break as you bite into the eclair. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a bakery.

The best Mango Vanilla Cake EVER!!! The mango is ripened to perfection with lots in every layer, the vanilla cake is perfectly moist, the icing is made with the right amount of sweet fluffiness and all combine into a perfectly delicious mango cake. A must have every November when in L.A., a 7 year tradition and going!!!

I had a meeting about a block away from here and when I came out of it, there was a delicious smell in the breeze coming from this bakery. My sweet tooth kicked in so I made my way over. The outside is unassuming but very cute and clean inside. One wall had all of their pudding cups sold out for the day which told me they must be good. I ordered a brownie, some cream puffs w/ chocolate on top, and a mini fruit tart to take home. I kid you not, these were THE BEST cream puffs I think I've ever had in my life! Absolutely perfect and they were under $1. Seriously, where can you buy anything decent anymore for under a $1 ?? The brownie was great too and also didn't make it home along with the cream puffs. Really delicious and if I'm in this area again, I'll be making it a point to stop by.

The food, the service, the ambiance, everything was top tier. This is a hidden gem and I love it. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

As a Filipino who has had a lot of mango in my life, Venecia has THE BEST mango cake in the LA area. It's made with the lightest sponge cake, whipped cream icing, filled and topped with a ton of the sweetest mango ever.

My go to for cakes! I always get so many compliments..the tiramisu & cheesecake are moist, not to sweet & always have the most beautiful writing! Highly recommend!!!

Very small business I was looking for last minute cake. Found this hidden gem in Montebello. I got the strawberry and peach cake it is so moist and soft tasty cake. I also got the strawberry soft bread super cute and amazing. I was able to go in and out. The service was amazing. Looking for a quick desert for a bday or snack come to this location.
